We first encountered Ol' Fred in one of his favorite haunts, the stock message boards (discussion groups) section of Yahoo (http://quote.yahoo.com/).  He was encouraging people to use to sharpen their value choices and timing skills.  He seems to love us, so we love him.

Besides that, he is generous and patient with newcomers to the stock investment scene and has sound reflections on the game and its players, gained from many years as an investment professional.
